Dr. Assem Ahmed Essa is a fully trained GP and Surgeon in Australia and overseas. He trained in Egypt in hand and general surgery, obtaining a Diploma of Surgery from the Alexandria faculty of medicine, before completing his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgery in Ireland. In Australia he has worked as a surgical fellow in different hospitals, including at the melanoma unit of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the plastic surgery unit of the Royal North Shore Hospital. During his work in the melanoma unit he developed a special interest in skin cancer management, and a passion for early detection of melanoma. Dr. Ahmed Essa joined the practice in 2017 to continue focusing on skin cancer prevention and management by setting up a skin cancer clinic.
