Dr Que Hee received his medical degree with honours from the University of Queensland in 1993. He then trained in various Brisbane Hospitals in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, receiving his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the end of 2002.
In 2003, Chris trained in Melbourne at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital. The year was committed to surgery of the ear, cochlear implantation and neurotological surgery (acoustic neuroma surgery). Part of 2003 was also spent as a research fellow at the Bionic Ear institute, performing research on trauma to the cochlea (inner ear).
Since 2004, Chris has been in private practice in Brisbane. He is the Chairman of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Mater Adults’ and Children’s Hospitals. He is a member of the Cochlear Implant Clinics at the Mater Hospital, Neurosensory Unit and Hear and Say Centre.
Dr Que Hee is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and lectures to both Medical and Speech Pathology students. Dr Que Hee is the patron of CICADA: Cochlear Implant Club and Advisory Association (QLD).
Dr Que Hee’s special interests within ENT surgery are ear surgery, cochlear implantation, implantable hearing devices and paediatric ENT surgery.
