Dr Hinna Azher is a consultant breast and general surgeon with public practice at The Sunshine Hospital, Western Health.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Deakin University. She completed her general surgery training through The Western Health Network and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery.
Hinna undertook further subspecialty training with a two-year fellowship through Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), in addition to a 12-month fellowship in Endocrine and General Surgery at Western Health.
Hinna practices evidence-based medicine and believes in providing patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary environment. She is interested in research and has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals during her surgical career and has acted as a reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal.
Hinna is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Full Member of the Breast Surgeons Australia and New Zealand, and a member of the General Surgeons’ Australia.
