Dr Janan Chandrananth is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in Foot and Ankle problems, Knee pathology and Orthopaedic trauma. Janan has a unique, specialised international experience and also grew up locally in Melbourne.

He obtained his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2012 and completed his Orthopaedic training rotating throughout Australia. He was selected to undertake a 6-month paediatric Orthopaedic Fellow position at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon, USA.

After completing his training and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA), he completed international fellowships in Japan and the United Kingdom. In Tokyo, he became experienced in ankle reconstruction techniques, foot and ankle arthroscopy procedures, foot corrective osteotomy techniques and ankle preservation procedures. Whilst here, he also gained experience in knee alignment and replacement.

He then completed a fellowship in Bristol under the tutelage of well renowned Foot and Ankle surgeons. Here, Janan became proficient in arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques for the whole gamut of foot and ankle conditions as well as Ankle Replacement surgery.
