Dr Kieran began his medical career after obtaining a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at the Australian National University. Prior to that he completed a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry/biochemistry (University of Queensland) and worked for the Australian Government in assessing new pharmaceuticals and medical treatments.
He worked in hospitals on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane in a range of emergency, medical and surgical wards. As well as having completed his specialist training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, he also has additional training in S100 HIV prescribing and medical termination of pregnancy.
He loves the full breadth of general practice but has specific interests including chronic diseases, sexual health and HIV, women’s health, men’s health and emergencies. He can perform skin excisions, nail removal, iron infusions and other procedures. He also consults in relation to weight loss medications, mental health and cardiovascular risk management.
