Dr Lavinia Schmidtman graduated from NSW University in 1986. She completed training in psychiatry at Cumberland and Westmead Hospitals in Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry in August 1995.
Dr Schmidtman was appointed to St John of God Richmond Hospital in 1995 as Consultant Psychiatrist/Staff Specialist with interest and area of practice in adult post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr Schmidtman has been Medical Director of St John of God Richmond Hospital since 2005.
