Dr Leigh Atkinson is a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician and Neurosurgeon at the Wesley Hospital; he is the Medical Director of the Wesley Pain & Spine Centre. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Neurosurgeons) in 1971, a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA in 1999 and a Fellowship of the Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP) in 1980. He has also been the Chairman of the Pain section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons since 2001.
Dr Atkinson has a special interest in the non-interventional approach to managing persistent pain.
