Dr Nicholas Aspres graduated in medicine from the University of Sydney. After initially working in general practice he attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of General Practice. During this time he developed an interest in diseases of the skin and undertook further study and research in the area of atopic dermatitis to complete a Master of Science degree from the University of NSW. He subsequently undertook dermatology training at the Skin and Cancer Foundation at Darlinghurst, Royal Newcastle Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and Liverpool Hospital to achieve Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dermatologists. He has authored journal papers that have been published in peer reviewed medical journals and has presented at dermatological meetings. He is currently working as a consultant dermatologist in private practice in Liverpool, NSW and is also a visiting dermatologist at Liverpool Hospital where he conducts a clinic in allergic contact dermatitis and patch testing. He regularly attends clinical meetings at the Department of Dermatology at Liverpool Hospital where he is also involved in the educational teaching of dermatology trainees and medical students. His current practice involves both medical and surgical dermatology. His areas of interest include eczema, psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis and skin cancer detection and treatment. He also has a special interest in the use of Botulinum Toxin treatment for axillary hyperhidrosis.
