Dr MacDonald completed her medical degree at the University of QLD in 2005 and then undertook her clinical training in Far North QLD and Brisbane. In 2010 she relocated to Sydney, and after a brief stint working in the Inner West she headed to the greener pastures of the Northern Beaches in pursuit of a better lifestyle and friendlier faces.
At present she us completing a Masters Degree in the area of Reproductive Medicine. Prior to undertaking her medical degree she also completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Sciences.
She enjoys all avenues of General Practice, with a particular interest in paediatric medicine, womens health, including obstetric medicine with shared care, sexual health and skin management. She has worked in medicine overseas and in rural and remote locations of Australia. She enjoys the varied work and challenges that General Pratice gives her every day.
Outside of medicine she has a busy family life and two boisterous labrador retrievers who ensure that she gets some form of physical activity on a daily basis, lest they destroy her yard as punishment.
