Relevant Background: Sigmund has an extensive clinical background having served as resident Psychologist at a maximum security prison for 6 years. During that time he was actively involved in developing a group program named “Alternative to Violence Program” which was given a National Award.
Sigmund is currently a faculty member of the Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Institute (USA) and has trained mental health professionals including GPs, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Counsellors.
He provides training throughout Australia and has been invited to Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand where he has provided EMDR Basic trainings. He has also provided public lectures on Anger Management in Singapore and presented a case study on Trauma based anger at the inaugural EMDR Asia Conference in Bali, 2010.
Sigmund is extensively involved in the supervision and training of Psychologists nationally and internationally. He has lectured in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) at the University of Indonesia and Taramanagora University Indonesia.
