Caitlin Jutsum is a registered psychologist, with a masters in organisational psychology. She has a background in health and wellness, organisational development, and rehabilitation. Caitlin has worked with clients of different ages and culturally diverse backgrounds. After completing her bachelor of psychology, Caitlin travelled to Vietnam to provide psychological care to children with disabilities in Hanoi, Vietnam. Providing psychological education and care to children and adolescents was a deeply rewarding experience and taught her how important early intervention programs can be in improving mental health. After completion of her masters, Caitlin worked in rehabilitation providing counselling and workshops with the purpose of increasing self-awareness, and building both stress management and emotional regulation skills. Caitlin has spent the latter part of her career providing both organisational and clinical services. Over the past 5 years she has designed and facilitated a variety of different programs. She uses adult learning principles and clinical knowledge to deliver entertaining and informative workshops, that foster self-awareness, motivation and practical skills to improve functioning. She is a skilled facilitator and trainer, and particularly enjoys running mindfulness and other wellbeing programs. Caitlin’s areas of speciality are eating disorders and childhood sexual trauma, and has completed further professional development in both areas. Caitlin is experienced in providing EAP and private counselling to adults, adolescent and children experiencing: Eating disorders, Sexual trauma, Phobias Generalised anxiety, Grief, Depression, and Interpersonal difficulties. Caitlin creates a supportive therapeutic atmosphere to facilitate exploration of difficult issues. She uses a variety of evidence based treatments including; cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy, eye movement desensitisation reprocessing therapy (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy. Caitlin is continually building upon her existing skillset and updating her clinical knowledge. Whenever possible, she attends professional events and programs with a psychological focus. Caitlin is EMDR trained and an EMDR associate member with the EMDRAA. She is currently completing additional professional development to receive full membership to the EMDRAA.
