Sally Jayne Gatt is a clinical psychologist registrar and a registered nurse, with over twenty years experience in health, most recently in hospital and outpatient mental health services and adolescent psychology within school psychological services. She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
Sally is currently in part-time private practice, and provides after-hours service on Saturdays. She offers consultations for adults, adolescents and couples who present with a wide range of concerns, providing brief focused treatment for acute difficulties and long-term psychotherapy for complex issues. At the client’s request, she will collaborate with other medical and health professionals to support each client’s therapeutic journey and achieve best outcomes.
Sally’s practice involves the use of evidence based psychological therapy tailored to each individual client’s need and presenting problem and or mental health issue. She provides a warm, supportive and collaborative environment in order to facilitate a positive therapeutic relationship throughout therapy.
Her health background has resulted in a special interest in how the mind and body interact, and supports a holistic approach to psychological care, including understanding how our body responds to our environment, how we perceive our self and others, how we manage our health and our how past patterns influence present life.
She is an empathetic, active and practical therapist, who aims to help her clients gain insight into their present condition, achieve solutions to their problems and support their journey towards living a full and satisfying life.
Sally has been trained in a range of therapies, including hypnotherapy and EMDR.
