Her research activities and publications include biomarker evaluation (serum, synovial and imaging biomarkers - xrays, MRI, ultrasound, arthroscopy), surrogate endpoint evaluation (development and evaluation of conceptual frameworks, statistical simulation studies and metaregression of biomarkers in cardiology, oncology and rheumatology), statistical modelling, data analytics, development and validation of patient-reported outcomes (PROs), systematic reviews, meta-analysis, health informatics, quality improvement, adverse event assessment, and qualitative research. She has collaborated with international experts in rheumatology, clinical epidemiology and statistics. She has presented her research work at numerous international scientific meetings. She is an associate editor of Trials. She has served on several committees including local and state Scientific Assessment Committees and Human Research Ethics Committees. She has been the recipient of an NHMRC Scholarship, NHMRC Fellowship, four NHMRC Project Grants, one NHMRC Enabling Grant, as well as grants/fellowships from other peer-reviewed funding bodies. She has supervised 3 PhD students and 2 ILP students. She is currently supervising one Master of Philosophy student.
